A mad scientist (Paul Muller) kills his wife (Barbara Steele) and her lover when he discovers her infidelity; then uses an experimental technique to remove their hearts and enhance the beauty of his own lover with their blood. But when the scientist learns that his wife left her fortune to her sister (Barbara Steel again - as a blond), he marries her in order to get the money. Meanwhile his murdered wife arises from the dead, alongside her lover, in search of revenge.
