Trivia: In 1980, when it was created, Virus was the most expensive Japanese movie ever made. Chuck Connors (Captain McCloud) is best known as Lucas McCain in TV's The Rifleman. Before turning to acting, Connors was one of only 13 men ever to play both Major League Baseball and in the NBA. George Kennedy (Admiral Conway) won an Academy Award for Cool Hand Luke (1967) and later became a fan favorite in the Naked Gun comedies.
