Walter Paisley (Dick Miller) is a struggling artist working as a waiter in a beatnick café. His work is uninspired until he accidentally kills his landlady's cat one day and covers the body in clay to hide it. His love interest Carla (Barboura Morris) is impressed and her friends in the local community hail the cat "sculpture" as a work of art. Not wanting to lose his new found fame, Paisley is driven to kill humans to progress his work.
Trivia: A Bucket of Blood was produced for $50,000 and shot in 5 days. Barboura Morris, who plays Carla, was married to director Monte Hellman.
